Ever since its release in 1984, Masks of Nyarlathotep has been considered one of the finest supplements for Call of Cthulhu, a roleplaying classic. Countless players have dared to thwart the machinations of Nyarlathotep and plumb the mysteries of the Carlyle expedition. Running this globe-trotting campaign is unfortunately rather a challenge, with scores of NPCs, dozens of locations, hordes of cultists, and at least one very angry Outer God. Needless to say, even the best Keeper could use a little help. That is where the Masks of Nyarlathotep Companion comes in. Drawing on the wisdom and experience of the members of Yog-Sothoth.com, the premier site for Lovecraftian role-playing, the Companion gathers together tips and advice for Keepers wishing to run Masks of Nyarlathotep. Within these pages are detailed nearly every imaginable facet of the campaign, from starting play to ending things with a bang; explaining, exploring, and expanding the classic work. There is something for everyone, from novice game masters to Grognardian disciples of Cthulhu. The Masks of Nyarlathotep Companion contains:
· A History of the Campaign.
· Keeper’s Tips for organizing and running the campaign.
· Tips on how to introduce, use, and kill Jackson Elias.
· Guides to New York, London, Cairo, Kenya, Australia’s Pilbara Coast, Shanghai AND Hong Kong.
· Articles describing and expanding on all of the campaign’s tomes and artifacts.
· Four new scenarios and numerous encounters that can be inserted into the campaign.
· Over two-dozen pre-generated characters plus tips on building better investigators.
90% of the money raised is going to support Yog-sothoth.com – the best fan forum for Call of Cthulhu on the web.

When I ran Masks of Nyarlathotep a couple years ago, I joined Yog-sothoth.com just to have access to this beast, and it was totally worth it. It made my life easier, and the campaign definitely better.

I've heard a few times this is literally the best sandbox style adventure ever published, for any system, ever.

It says Guides to New York: Does this incorporate William Jones' "Secrets of New York" material?

I have heard the same and it makes me want to try this system just so I can play this adventure.

My friend bought this back in the day. Oh, how he longed to run it. Just flipping through it was awesome.
Now you have piqued my interest.

It doesn't incorporate the Secrets of New York book inside it, but the Masks Companion has over 50 pages of material specifically designed to help Keepers run the New York section of the Masks of Nyarlathotep campaign. Likewise, it has sections for London, Cairo, Shanghai, Kenya and and extensive section on Australia too, all of which are locations that are main calling points in the adventure.

That is a spicy meatball of a PDF! I just ran the opening to MoN last month when half of my gaming group was on vacation. They didn't get far, it was just to fill an evening with play. It was, in fact, enormous fun. I am interested in this companion.

I ran Masks years ago, and it still stands out as one of the best campaigns, and stories, I've ever run. Yes, best sandbox adventure ever, I would agree.
